In yet an another incident, SFI, the so-called champion of freedom of speech, has orchestrated brutal attack on its ideological opponents for participating in college Union elections. The Kerala SFI has proven many times, goondaism and vandalism are their synonyms. In post- college Union election scenario, they are unleashing repeated attacks on the opposition outfits. On Wednesday, in the northern part of Kerala, in the red gulag of Madappally Govt college , SFI thugs unleashed physical violence against MSF activists. Male comrades didn't even spare women activists. Only after the intervention from some locals and traders by throwing stons at the assaulters the women activists of MSF were saved from being lynched. The local traders are also punished by SFI thugs for saving the women activists of MSF, by torching and vandalising their shops. Vyapara Vyavasaya Ekopana Samiti, the traders organisation, is observing a day long hartal in protest against the SFI goondaism in the region.
SFI masqurading as the true champions of freedom of speech is unleashing what ABVP does in JNU, in Kerala's campuses. ABVP and SFI are twin brothers when it comes to orchestrating violence on their ideological opponents. As someone righly put it, the difference between RSS and CPIM, is that the former is communal Fascist and the latter is Social Fascist. Raising political opinion is forbidden in many colleges (read as SFI gulags). The 'crime' will be severely punished by thuggish caders who are valient raiders when they are with the mob and coward enough to counter the political questions raised by their opponents. In a widely circulated video, SFI caders are rasing slogans shouting: "we will not let the green and blue flags to raise in the campus". What prompts SFI from disallowing other organisations such as MSF, KSU ( Indian National Congress students wing) and Fraternity from democratically participating in campus politics.
SFI, with the support system of Media, Police and the College Administration covers up the brutality of its acts of goondaism by concocting various stories against their opponents. It is high time we raise our joint protest against the brutality of SFI against their ideological opponents. MSF JNU condemn the un-democratic and fascist behaviour of SFI and call upon every democratic forces in the country to raise their voice against SFI Kerala's social Fascism.
